Frequently asked questions about printed bath towels
Price, minimum quantity, materials, techniques, logo format - all in one place.
A standard bathroom towel is usually around 70x140 cm, beach versions tend to be larger (e.g. 90x170 cm) and sunbed towels longer still. Round beach towels are specified by diameter. We can match the size to the purpose - a larger surface means more room for an all-over design.
The weight (g/m2) determines the thickness, absorbency and density of the towel. Lighter terry around 300-350 g/m2 dries faster and costs less, while premium hotel towels sit closer to 450-550 g/m2 and feel more luxurious. Microfibre beach towels are considerably lighter and thinner. We will help you choose based on the intended use.
A beach towel tends to be larger, thinner and often made of microfibre - it dries quickly, handles sand and chlorine and works well with all-over sublimation. A bathroom and hotel towel is denser terry with a higher weight for maximum absorbency and softness. The suitable print technique differs accordingly.
A woven (jacquard) border is an edge strip where the logo or pattern is woven directly into the fabric during production, rather than printed on top. As a result it does not disappear even after hundreds of washes and the towel looks like permanent hotel linen. It is a popular choice for hotels, wellness centres and spas that want a long-term identity.
With all-over sublimation the colour is fixed directly into the fibre, not as a layer on top - so it will not peel or fade over the normal lifetime of the towel. For long-lasting results we recommend washing at a lower temperature (usually up to 40 degrees) and avoiding harsh bleaching agents.
A vector format is best: .ai, .svg, .eps or .pdf with outlines. If you only have a raster image (PNG, JPG), get in touch - in most cases we can prepare the logo or advise you on how to obtain it.
