Price, blanket types, print techniques, delivery and logo format - all in one place.
Most often it is knitted polyester fleece (polar fleece), usually in the range of roughly 180 to 280 g/m2. A lower weight is lighter and cheaper for merch in large runs, while a higher weight is thicker and warmer for premium gifts. For alpaca and thick knitted blankets the material is bulkier and denser. We will recommend a specific weight based on the purpose.
Yes. A fleece blanket is ideal for all-over sublimation - we print a design, photo or corporate pattern across the entire surface from edge to edge, not just as a small patch. The colours go straight into the fibre, so the surface stays soft and the print does not crack or peel when washed. For alpaca and thick knitted blankets sublimation does not suit, so there we choose embroidery or embossing.
Embossing presses the logo into the surface of the blanket with heat - creating a subtle 3D relief with no thread and no ink. It looks best on a thicker, single-colour fleece, where it comes across as subtle and expensive. It suits premium gifts where you do not want to break up the clean colour of the blanket with a printed design. On thin, low-weight blankets the relief does not hold as clearly.
A classic fleece blanket is versatile for both printing and gifting. A picnic blanket additionally has a waterproof backing (PEVA or film), so moisture from the grass does not come through, and it folds into a strap or bag. A travel blanket is thinner and lighter, rolled into a compact pouch for the car, backpack or plane. We choose the type based on where the blanket will actually be used.
Yes, a blanket is great festival and concert merch. With larger runs the unit price drops, and all-over sublimation handles full-colour artwork for a band or event with ease. For the lawn in front of the stage, the practical choice is the picnic version with a waterproof backing. Just send the event date and quantity and we will prepare a quote.
Fleece blankets are usually washed at lower temperatures (roughly around 30 degrees) on a gentle cycle. A sublimated print is in the fibre, so with proper care it will not fade even after dozens of washes. Embroidery and embossing last the full lifetime of the textile. Exact washing instructions depend on the specific material of the given blanket.
A vector format is best: .ai, .svg, .eps or .pdf with outlines - it lets the logo fit precisely even on a large all-over print. If you only have a raster image (PNG, JPG), get in touch; in most cases we will prepare the logo or advise you on how to obtain it.
